Back Tracking

I got my bike back Saturday; seems to be running good, trans is shifting smooth and clutch feels fine. Sometimes reminds me of a GM rock crusher with straight cut gears (mildly) but f-it I'm riding it; maybe that's normal.

So I went to ride to work today and notice my sissy bar back rest and BDM plate are gone as is my left tail lens. I'm fairly sure they were there when I picked it up Saturday. My air cleaner screens blew off a couple weeks ago, but luckily I was able to back track and find them that day.

I'm guessing my back rest and lens won't fair as well in traffic as those screens did. :bang:

Sorry to hear...I try to check for loose stuff everytime I ride. Sometimes you just can't catch them all. If the backrest plate got loose it will definately fall off. Your not going to notice it till you stop. Think I'll go check mine right now. :D

All that shaking will certainly loosen things up a bit. Loctite is a must. I am going to go check everything today now that you have me thinking about it.

As for those lenses, last one fell off and broke when I bumped it in the garage. The good news is they are about $5 to replace (Standard HD lenses cover). I am with you Gas ... loctite loctite and more loctite

Knock on wood... so far nothing missing, have found no loose bolts or screws and I check often.

Did the "double nut" suggestion on the exhaust flange because it can't hurt.

Note: did find the fork dust cap could unscrew very easy with only light resistance. Used a rubber gripper and snugged it up a bit.
