So looks like I'm finally back on the saddle. It's been a while getting my dog up and running from fuel injectors to a rebuilt transmisión to a lot of other stuff that may have or may not have been the problem. I'm not to mechanically inclined but I get on here enough to learn enough to tell the mechanic how to fix it. With the help of this forum along with James,(JWooky), Derek and Donna , Curtis, Tom at S&S and a few other members we managed to get the bike going. James took the time to walk my mechanic through diffrent obstacles. About a month ago bike was completed and was running just fine. Then the clutch hub nut came loose, talked to my mechanic and I guess he didn't believe me that it has to be tightened to 180lbs/ft. He only did 80. So after dealing with mechanics I decided to fix the prob myself. Was a lot of trial and error and I'm sure me not being a mechanic I made it more difficult than it should of been. While pipes were off and I was waiting for exhaust seals I detailed it fairly well. To include some wet sanding and repairing some paint chips. I got her up and running on sat, gears were smooth finding neutral was easy. Rode about 20mins around town and bike got supper hot,I mean really hot. I read on here on the EFI bikes heating up was thinking it was the temp sensor. Called my mechanic. He asked how old was the gas in the gas tank. it had been parked for about a month since hub nut went loose. Told me to drain it I put fresh gas in it and bam that resolved the issue. Rode yesterday for about an hour no issues, no check engine light gears are going in smooth. So I just hope I just didn't jink it. From now on I'll be doing all the work on my dog. Again thanks to all.
