So I figured I would try this before buying a new clutch ...
Two Weeks ago I serviced and polished up the pup and I have NEVER from day one been happy with the clutch in the 07 Chopper .. IT "most times drags or slip's " depending on its mood I have learned to live with it ..it acts up most when hot in traffic and will jerk the first time you put it in gear when cold like the clutch is not disengaging ...then it will be fine ..I have adjusted and tinkered with this from the day I brought it home !!!! O yea and the clutch basket nut will at times work it way loose ????? SOOOOO getting to the point of this story I read last year that Tim "Fibersnake" tried ATF and it worked pretty good ..but I don't think he left it in ? Anyway its a Sunday and I just had this thought to try ATF in the primary .. so I go to buy a QT and I'm looking at the offerings in the Auto Zone and the prices are crazy ..4.00 for a QT of ATF DEX 4 and I see this B&M stuff
and its like 5.00 so I try it .... The Results were pretty amazing .... I did do I complete removal of the clutch and cleaned all the old fluid off the disks and removed the clutch basket for inspection .. refilled with this atf stuff and took it for a spin ... well the first 30miles were impressive , NO CREEP ..NO SLIP ..wow its cold so I go home ..next weekend I'm out riding and I can feel a bit of non disengagement while shifting ...so I let it cool and readjust and go out again .. shifting pretty good but still not perfect ..so I figure I'm in for a clutch ..so I go bar hoppin  and after a few " sorry kids" I get a bit red and do this nice 50foot white tiresmokin burn out at the bar well now the dam thing is working perfect ...NEVER BEEN BETTER!!!:lol: Guess I should be harder on the girl  But really this stuff works good "SO Far" and I just did a google search and it appears I'm not the first to try this stuff ? B&M trickshift in primary? : V-Twin Forum: Harley Davidson Forums and many others .. ??? Give it a try I'm pretty happy so far :job: .. I'm in love with my ride all over again !!!
