Avon Cobra vs. Venom

Jake do you think it would hurt when I replace the rear VenomX tire to replace it with a Cobra. Only since the Venom X is being discontinued and may not be available when I need one. Then the front would be a Venom X and the rear a cobra. I'm thinking it can't hurt the handling of the bike too adversly, can it?

dont substitute the 90/90 for the mh90. the extra .35" hits the fender on my 05 chop.
Funny you mention this Sul.

I asked Avon about the differences and got this reply. I did check the clearance on the fender bolts and they are tight. Maybe if I replaced then with some round cap style hex bolts. Still ordered the stock one though!

Hi Ray,

I’m not sure what ad you saw. Our recommended fitment for the Chopper is MH90-21 but I personally think the slightly wider 90/90-21 may work better. The pattern will be the same and apart from a slight size difference, the two tyres are pretty similar.

Subject: Fitment question

My question stems from an ad I saw that recommended replacing the MH90-21 with the 90/90-21 which is a little wider. Do you advise against this for any reason. Your website doesn't show images so don't know if the tread design is different or not. I am still using the stock Venon 250 on the rear.

Thanks for your time,
