We left out about 6:00 Am yesterday and walked back in the door after midnight last night. The weather was beautiful all day long. The absolute longest one day ride ever on the scooter, a little over 500 miles. The new Avon rear tire stuck to the road great. The locals were very helpful too. A very nice gentleman stopped me and explained the speed limits in detail, where they begin and where they ended, even commented on the scooter looking good :D. He even was smiling for the video too :D. I thought he just wanted my autograph, as I said he was a nice guy.I immediately slowed my azz down:2thumbs: By the way it is 30 mph from one end of the Dragon to the other, not considerably more . We rode the Dragon three times and then rode the Skyway around back to the interstate towards home. Video to follow in a day or so.

Sorry to hear about the Meet and Greet on the Dragon Ray. Earl and I were down there in June and 30mph was a number we didn't see too often. Guess we got lucky. Great pics. Look forward to the vid.:2thumbs:

No Signatures were necessary, no gifts, no rides, no cuffs, I was fortunate too ( almost double the suggested speed limit ) and he was a really nice guy as well. I think he just wanted to check out the scooter. I still had the Flags :flag: on it from the last escort I got to ride in with the PG.
These people just passed me as I was fixing to pull away. They wiped out about 1/2 mile up the road in a real easy turn, must have got in some gravel and dumped it. They were ok. A little gravel rash on an elbow and it scared the crap out of her. No major crap to the bike either. But with my meet and greet and getting to help this guy get his bike off the ground, I went a lot slower the rest of the day than I really had planned on doing. Still pushed the scoot through the curves at an amazing pace with the new tires and the amount of people that were up there.

How much did you grind off the footpegs in the turns? I was there a few years ago. I guess I got lucky. No visits from the locals.

We rode the Dragon three times before heading towards the Skyway. I never saw my buddy in the black car again Saturday, and I do realize I was very fortunate on that one . The new rear tire really stuck the road great ( Avon Cobra 250). The very first time I ran it the hardest I had several Hd guys pulling off to let me by, hardly no braking , just shifting through the curves was when it really felt the best.I went up there to run it hard .:choppersmiley:, the new tires weren't just because I needed them. The second and third time I was just taking it easy more and was getting a little tired by now as well. It was a great ride all day, a little over 500 miles Saturday. I really didn't notice any butt ache until we were about 40 miles from home Saturday night about midnight. We are going to do it again when the leaves turn, the skyway would be awesome then. Video Soon!!!

Ray... I'll be there with a group the tail end of Sept & beginning of Oct.. although the Fall rally canceled were still going for the ride. The rally was just an extra anyway. Were looking forward to it since I've dreamed of that ride ever since I started riding!

My route out there will be 520.. hopefully my backside will be up for the dragon the next day!

You will love the ride. The roads are great. I think I gased up about 7 times witha few minutes to rest my butt at each stop, really no issues till right before we got home. To anyone that is going to riding the bottom end of the skyway!!! Thay have just repaved it really smooth but there are gravels in spots in bad places, the kind that let you slide a little bit. If you wreck back in there you are in a mess. Be careful always ride within your "Comfort Zone".

I hope you get good weather, there is nothing like it. It is cold on the skyway have warm clothes handy. I put on a coat Saturday.. 60 degrees and windy, lots of shade and shadows, very cool .
