A friend of mine gave me an arlen ness voltage regulator, and told me it was universal and should work on my k9. I've never seen one of these before and wondering if you guys have, and if you can tell me what model it is, and if it's compatible with my 06 k9. I can't even find a model number on this thing.

If it mounts up I don't see why it wouldn't work. The real question is it 32 or 40 AMPS? 32 AMPS is stock, some guys run 40 on the upgrade.

Not sure about the voltage output, you would have to meter that once installed, and repair the output wire. Typical EVO plug so should work if it's good. Is yours bad or are you just looking for and emergency back-up?

At my friends shop yesterday and he asked me if I wanted a voltage regulator he had laying around with some other stuff. He said it would work on my big dog, so I took it as a spare. Just didn't know if it's compatible with our dogs. Guess there's a little cool factor since it's ARLEN Ness.

Looks exactly what i had on my Evo Fatty, 32 Amp and all good.
BUT
Problem 1. Not for hot climates, at 35 Deg C got red hot and started smoking, kept going.
Problem 2. Mounting was different.

Needs to be series type voltage requlator and if he has a 40 amp alternator wouldn't he need a 40 amp voltage regulator?
