Are any of you aware that Coleman Camping Products used to own Big Dog ?

You are a bit late to the party Doug, Coleman Camping products NEVER owned Big Dog, but one of the Coleman's did start the company so, you are a bit misinformed.
Actually, many of your statements are either false or just based on misinformation. I still have the original EHC on my '07. Be careful of blanket statements.
Also, try doing a search here, you'll find more info on BDM's history and faults then you are likely to find anywhere else. You'll also discover who the true owner of the company was... and it wasn't Coleman Camping Products.

NO. coleman camping products DID NOT own BDM. Sheldon Coleman owned BDM, who is part of the Coleman family, but it was not under the banner of the camping equipment.

What kind of justice are you talking about Doug? You really are lucky to be alive to warn us of all the downfalls of these bikes if the neck and backbone simotaniously snapped! Did you do all the awesome work to your heavily modified chopper yourself or did you have to pay to have it done? Sorry for my poor grammar and spelling.

Sheldon Coleman was an heir to the Coleman family. Yes they created the camping products however they sold the camping business back in 1991.
BDM doesn't have a perpertual issue with frame's cracking at the neck that would be Big Bear Choppers. How was it BDM's fault that a established and well respected frame builder Rolling Thunder's neck broke? Doesn't make sense.

STLMIKE ( Mike ) you seem like a pritty classy individual yourself with that charming picture of a guy giving everyone the finger ( nice attitude in life you got there. ) Anytime you want to run me title for title I'll be happy to. Not to mention I can probably mention more magazines and companies that have my bike in them then you will ever have. So to make your little bullshit remarks about my bike you can fuck yourself ok. I got $102K into that bike its by no means a typical bike. Now to end this get a set of balls and call me 732-470-9333 I'm afraid of no one. I'm sorry you guys are right a member of the Coleman Family owned Big Dog not Coleman Camping Products how do I know easily I bought a 03 chopper back bone snapped I had no clue , I'm driving a little more same day next the necked snapped 3/4 the way around. How did I find out about Coleman and that they owned it when my attorney went after them to sue them for the damage to my bike. The EHC module I'm not wrong I don't care what any of you say I'm not here to argue I know what I went through with my bike maybe some of you had better luck then I did. I went through 3 of them in a year said thats it pulling all the electrical out of my bike.

I agree w/ the frame building of Rolling Thunder. They did fix my frame I sent it back and Sam fixed it. Costing me $4,000 later by time I paid someone to take everything off my bike and put everything back in my bike then $800 Rolling Thunder charged me to fix the neck and down tubes and put extra supports in the frame my and put in a jigging machine then to have it baked , powder coated , and put back together. Yhea I went through some bullshit and I'm not happy at all w/ Rolling Thunder had they not been located in Canada and been here in the 50 states it would've been there ass's. Cause I would've owned them. Turns out I didn't recoupe a dime of expense of anything that happened with the bike.
I'm not at all saying BIGDOGS are bad bikes. I love my bike its my baby. I had a lot of issues with the electrical maybe rest of you didn't I did.
