I have an 04 chopper that I need to replace the speedo, I know the Dakota Digital are nice but I really like the sweep needle. Since my old trip does not work either I cant see what the pulse count is. Are they all the same, any suggestions on a replacement speedometer with the sweep needle. The one I really like is a douple sweep needle, One for the speep, one for the tach. Thanks, Keith

They are not all the same. In my service manual for 04 and older has a table showing the counts. PM me and I'll send you an electronic copy of the page with the table.

Aftermarket speedos normally give the installer the ability to calibrate the pulses per mile/kilometer during installation.

The thing that would cause problems are the electrical interface signals that the speedo/tach would require. More than likely the signals should be compatable seeing how the product was designed to be typically used in motorcycle installations.
