just out of curiosity has anyone used this system comments reviews would be 18-533 Complete kit. from Ultima

I have a 2003 bd chopper with the Harley style controls Arlen ness super amoled lights and stock speedo and tag lights..
the Ultima sales rep says its just what I need but he is trying to get a sale
I already have had the wire plus for three years but the shop that did it didn't do a good job and looking to just do it myself
Ultima also has a 18530 kit that has LE for troubleshooting anyone use either of these how is it

Looks pretty slick
Speedo would be the only issue as it does not appear that the Ultima product accounts for a speedo.

would I have to wire it in or can I find a mechanical unit would prefer to have the speedo
just looking at options

all the speedo should need is switched power to the speed sensor and speedo, and a signal wire between the two, then if they are both grounded the speedo should work like normal. there should be no need to go through an electronioc box.

sounds good thanks for the info also looking at scootersperformanc chopper harness looks like has the Speedo option and pretty good reviews looks easy to install for a guy who has never done it also..

Check out the thunderheart micro controller pretty slick unit has Speedo wiring and its right at $300 complete
