The Vance and Hines Big Radius 2 into 1 is not made for the 2008 and newer Pitbull - only the 2 into 2. When checking with the technical guy at Vance and Hines, he couldn't tell me if I could make it work. I figure it will require me to make some custom bracket(s) but what I'm not sure if the pipe will be in a good place (not too close, not too far from the frame) and so I thought I'd ask if anyone here has tried this configuration.

Thanks!
Scott

Yes i have. Used a 2007 K-9 pipe (300 rear tire) off set worked great. Made a custom bracket. Easy job.

Hey Steve,
Thanks for the reply and the info! Do you have any pics of the bike? Beyond the performance and sound improvement, I think the lines of the exhaust would go well with the arched line of the tank, and it would be great to see how it looks before attempting.

Besides hearing a few audio files on the web, I haven't heard the pipes in person - how would you describe the sound compared to stock? Did you change out the air cleaner and re-jet as well?

Any words of advice on the bracket or anything you encountered when changing out?

Thanks!
Scott

BTW, where's Dawsonville?

Here are a few pictures of the bike after I painted it and installed the pipe. Part number on the pipe is 1800-0754; I did have to slightly modify the bracket but not too bad. Looks great, sounds great. I did change the jets to 31/76 set up. Stock air cleaner. Hope this helps. :2thumbs:

Dawsonville is in the North Ga Mountains, 40 miles North of Atlanta. :D

Awesome! That helps a hell of a lot! Love the look of your bike - the pipes looks killer. I see a lot of 2 into 2's - so this gives it a unique look. I'm guessing the sound is louder than the stock pipes? I don't want obnoxiously loud like short pipes without baffles (plus, you loose so much low end torque) but I want more low rumble and better performance.

I noticed that there is a secondary part number 28007 that goes on the K9 and Mastiff and 28009 that goes on the Ridgeback with the 330 rear tire. Both have the 1800-0754 as part of the part number. Do you know which one? Thanks!

This number 1800-0754 is for a 2006-2007 K-9 or a 2007 Mastiff. Now remember the fuel injection models have an o2 sensor. We had to install o2 sensors into our unit. Very easy to do. O2 weld in plugs can be installed any angle you want. We made ours look better than stock. If you purchase the 2008 K-9 with EFI pipe, you will not have to weld in the plugs. Still the same pipe.

Hey Steve,
Thanks. I've got the carb model, so no O2 sensor.

Did you modify the bracket that came with the system, or fabricate your own?
