Would you like the number to the bank that foreclosed on the owner of Big Dog for default on loans. The bank is currently selling off all company assets.

Insert title here...
"... the sissy bar can move too much and over time that can cause the bolts that hold the sissy bar in place to break."

I suppose that could happen to someone who never looks over the bike before riding, rarely polishes their sissy bar (wouldn't know it's loose), and then lifts the bar an inch and a half or so...

After all, now days everything bad that happens is someone else's fault!!! :bang:

For those of us who do have the sissy bar and luggage racks. This is what I did. I fully do not ever expect to remove them so I Locktighted the jam nuts.

I found that I was missing a bolt on my 12" sissy bar when cleaning, rode up to my service center to get a new one & found out had sheard off inside sissy bar. Left with him to hopefully get out. Have a 18" sissy bar I want to put & keep on permanently but now am not sure.
I believe that I have seen 2 different struts for the k9, one is flat across the mount & the other mount is right on the egde, even the plug has a curve to it. Is one better than the other ??

The bolt breaks because there is too much thread on it. The thread flexes and breaks.
I had a couple of bolts break on me until I countersunk the sissy bar so the smooth portion of the bolt would fit up into it, cut off a longer bolt for the shoulder, and cut a half inch of thread on it. Now the bolt flexes at the shoulder, not the thread, and doesn't break anymore.
