Oh look, Moe, an oil thread! I was an A-List sponsored rider for Torco. B-riders only received a few cases. A-list riders meant 'unlimited,' so after 37 years of this oil sitting around, I run 50/50 Torco and whatever else is around. Weight does not matter against straight Torco 50w.
Book's compression range is from 149 - 228 psi. After 30K miles, my compression was 220-220-210-220 respectively. So much for 37yr old SAE numbers on the can. So much for oil if not syn your engine wears out?
I need to buy exxon-mobil stock I read oil threads on line.

Hey, It wasn't my fault.....ok maybe it was. I was at the Harley parts desk buying exhaust gaskets and as an afterthought told them to give me a quart of Primary oil. I never looked closely at the plastic bottle till my clutch started slipping on my first ride after changing the Primary oil. Then I got the bottle out of the trash and there it was right on the front, Harley Davidson Synthetic Primary Oil.:angry: Live and learn.

I use spectro in primary,and tranny,Mobil 1 in the motor
Lucas 50wt for me. Temps here are between 100 and 110 most everyday during the summer. Temps in the winter are 70 to 90 so I don't have much of a choice

I did once use Mobil 1 in all my HD's and the Dog, but the price is outragous ($80 x 4 liters) so i now use Pentite Synthetic 10-50 no issue at all.
HD tranny oil, or Purple gear oil o f the same rating.
Mineral oil in the primary, whatever Supa Cheap has on special.
So far so good.
I do change all my oils at 5000 klm.

I pay 15 EUROS / quart !!!!!! it is outrageous... but...
And no one left selling in Spain (out of business) now I have to import it from Portugal or Ireland!!! soon, Amsoil, will totally disappear from Europe, I think!

All my "Hogs" live on Mobil One 15/50 in the engine. Wal Mart usually $24.00 per 5 qt. jug. :2thumbs:

My S&S 107 motor has 16,000 miles are her. Can I run Spectro or mobil1 synthetic 20/50 in the engine without a problem? and how many quarts of oil in each of the 3 holes?

I use Mobil 1 20 /50 synthetic in my engine
I only use bel ray non synthetic in the primary. Some will say it doesn't matter but I experienced clutch slippage when I ran synthetic. I also run synthetic in the transmission not the 20/50.

I have an 03 Pitbull. I want to use Spectro in all 3 holes, just not sure how many quarts . I was thinking 3 quarts in each hole?
