i have had a bike with out a front fender it sucked if i got caught in the rain or had to ride thru something.and it had a real short rear fender didnt even come up to the top of the rear tire so my back would catch water and what ever else it would kick up.

I don't see why you can't form up a custom seat pan that covers the electrics and mounts to the fender strut mounts

I would get a new fender and just shave it down. That way, when you get sick of the rooster-tail spraying you all day long, you can switch back.

My buddy looked pretty "NOT COOL" with road grime up his back in the Black Hills after the inevitable rain storm one year! He was riding his Bourget Magnum with its short pointed rear fender.

The best way I think to go about this would be to keep the struts mounted to the fender and draw a line around the fender that would simulate what you want. Then you could have a fabricator use tubing the same diameter as the frame and bend it around that radius. Next have him weld on some tabs that simulate the way the struts mount and bolt it on. You can have it powdercoated and then have a seat pan made for it. The best part would be is that you can go back to stock with this method if wanted. Don't forget you'll have to address the rear lighting issue as well.

Had a guy do that last year and we used a raw fender and cut it custom. Let him keep the stock and he swapped it out when he wanted to change the look or depending on the ride conditions.

I get wet now with my rear fender on if I go through water so i don't think it makes much difference
I took my front fender off too. I'm lucky not much rain in AZ.

Show us what you come up with I would like to do it.

why ask? If you like it....do it! I notice you have rear pegs....might make a a little tough on the ol' lady. I get soaked now when I get in the rain, so I don't think I would worry about that. I would check to see if it has to have a fender covering the tire with your local POlice.
