My painter says no such a thing. I am told if you clear it and it yellows it's a bitch to get off. I am anxious to see other opinions. Good luck
I'd go with what the painter tells ya. He knows how those clear coats act. How bout just polishing the parts, and give em a good coat of good wax ? :oldconfused: I Dentdude was here he would be the one to know !

This is the best clear paint you will ever buy. It's real tough and I have used it on many projects. It goes on clean and smooth and lasts forever. I don't know if it will do the job for you but I'd try it on a few parts and see what happens. Good luck!

Went to Eastwood pages, was eyeballing their tech support. Someone asked about using this on bare aluminium, they said their exo armour would be best for that

There is a product that I use, called liquid glass. I take a picture of it tomorrow, and tell you more about it. It's to late now, and I've had to much to drink to think clearly on this.

I polished my aluminum about a year ago. Still looks like chrome today and I haven't wash the dog during this time.

As far as the paint is concerned, it gets a clear coat.

So, don't waste you time on this. Sit on your bike, turn it on, start it, and go riding.

I didn't want to text drunk last night ,so I'll try it with a hang over this morning.
Like you, I was looking for a product that would seal the aluminum and keep it from oxidizing. I ran across this product and gave it a shot.

I have not used it on paint, so I can't tell you what that looks like. All I used it on was my aluminum and brass parts. Basically I tried it and forgot I used it.
After I polished out the parts, I used lacquer thinner to clean the polish off an applied this stuff. It has been two years since I used it, and I'm in the middle of polishing everything again, because I just repainted. The only way I remembered I had used it, was when I started buffing and it was making a mess. Lacquer thinner, cleaned it off really easy, and I could polish then.
This picture won't do it much justice, because my bike was really dirty when I torn down. Top was just polished, and the bottom is two years of abuse.

All in all, I'll give this product a :old2: and I'm using it again.

Removing clearcoat from billet is a pretty easy process with the right stuff 418NxNu76LL.jpg
I have used this to remove the clear from the rims on my Jeep. I would not suggest clearing billet as it will eventually discolor. ust keep things well polished with some Mothers billet polish.

I used Rustoleum clear on my steering pump after I polished it in 2004, still looks like I polished it yesterday and no yellow coloring either. Mind you this gets used in saltwater and 13 years later it looks like this:
