Anyone know what the hell this is???

Ok, so I was doing some polishing, spring cleaning and maintenence last night while slightly intoxicated. Well, I apparently broke something and I have no idea what the hell it is. So Maybe you guys can help. Under the rubber boot is a plastic crown (?) with a stud that the wire connects to. I over tightened the nut and snapped the plastic in half. I am wondering if I can epoxy or rig it up until I can get a new one. Let me know what you guys think.

just get a new oil pressure switch, not but $10-$15. if you glue it together the heat & engine viberation w/ probbly break agin

That is your oil sending unit. You can get another one for a Evo engine from any Harley dealer. They are about $15. It just unscrews out and the new one will have Teflon tape on it already.

I also broke mine and I got one from local auto parts store, I think it was about 8 bucks.

Hey bruce, what auto parts store did you get it at? I am in a small town, nearest Harley dealer is an hour and a half and nearest Big Dog dealer is 2 hours and half. But here in Redneckville, we have every damn Auto Zone, O'Reilly, Advanced Auto, Napa, and any other auto oarts store you can name, except Pep Boys.

Take yours off and take it with you the auto parts store, they will find one for you that is just like it.
