BMC - Big Mikes Choppers. Looks like a frame VIN#. Is this the bike with the Delkron cases? Has RevTech top end? Google BMC meets Jack Daniels. Interesting story about your motorcycle builder.

Thanks, I caused some confusion. I have a bike here with a Big Dog registration and it is indeed a BMC. I typed BMC in my original messsage, because I thought it stood for Big (dog) Motorcycle Corp. I should have typed BDM. So I was looking for a BDM that turns out to be a BMC. That's a coincidence. Case solved! Many thanks. Rob

If that's a hard tail it might be a BMC 918Notorious -- I had the BMC Notoriuos 918St as my first motorcycle - It was a 2002 that I bought in early 2003.
Mine turned out to like to eat primary belts -- that can be dicey! Finally sold it a couple of years back and the guy that bought it got it back and running for his kid, sold it a year later, then that guy was selling it -- lost track of it after that.
I went thru a multitude of speedos on that bike, in 57K miles, I was on 3rd speedo, no compression releases so it ate batteries worse than my K-9 does.

Thanks Big Mike, a 918 it is! Do you know what the going rate is for a pretty nice low mileage 2001 bike? There are only three BMC's registered in the Netherlands (and about 40 Big Dogs). Plus the one BMC that is registered as a Big Dog :).Schermafbeelding 2024-08-13 om 23.32.20.png

Not sure about pricing in the Netherlands but here in the USA probably be around $3 to $4g. For that bike. For reference I paid $4g for this 2000 BigDog Vintage Sport. Cheers!

Well, looking at NADA pricing, even a 2005 (oldest they had listed) for a 918 was 2,600-2,000 retail value -- No idea what being in the Netherlands adds to value given that its a rare import.
The nice thing for you if the same as my 03 918ST is that most if not all the bolts and stuff are metric, not SAE.

Mick, see my previous post -- I think your thinking too high for that bike -- one its virtually unknown and it was a rigid which is always cheaper.
Yeah I think you’re right. I was just guessing at it being they are probably pretty rare overseas. That’s why I threw the old BigDog up for comparison.

A 2004 Notorious 918 is listed here for over 11K euro, roughly 12K USD... Can I post a link?

Well thats a 918 Notoriuos ST (softail) and is worthmore but that price I think they're smoking something that they need to share with the rest of us cause it's got to be good sh*t if they think the bike is worth that $$$$
