ANYONE KNOW HOW MUCH A CLUTCH CABLE

FOR MY 2007 CHOPPER COSTS AND WHERE I CAN GET ONE FAST? WHAT I THOUGHT WAS JUST THE ADJUSTER NUT BACKING OFF TURNS OUT TO BE A BROKEN ADJUSTER SLEEVE. THE CABLE IS FINE BUT THE THREADED ADJUSTER SLEEVE SNAPPED OFF. ANY IDEAS IF THIS MIGHT BE A WARRANTY ISSUE? :bang: :bang:

I am sure you could order one from Nelson wbcycles. Or if you absolutly have to have it now I have a spare for my 07 k9 all you have to do is get me a replacement. I bet WB is about a 3 day wait or you can pm dragginh at tampa bd and she can have it in the mail or you can call Full House in winchester.

THANKS HOAT, I'LL GET RIGHT BACK TO YOU ON THAT. I'M WAITING TO SEE IF BDM WILL COVER IT BECAUSE THE ADJUSTER FAILED AND NOT THE CABLE ITSELF.

I would think it would be a warranty item if it is for the 2007.

YEA KNOT, I'M THINKING IT SHOULD BE SINCE THE CABLE ITSELF DIDN'T FAIL. IT WAS A DEFECTIVE ADJUSTER SLEEVE THAT SNAPPED. I'M WAITING ON BLACKDOG MOTORCYCLES TO CALL BDM AND GET AN OK. IT APPEARS I CAN STILL SHIFT IT OK BUT I'M NOT TRUSTING IT A LOT IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.

I bought one from my dealership on discount for $55 after S&H. The new BDM ones are made by banditt, so I think they'll be good to go.

Mine broke on my bike at 3000 miles on my 2007 Bulldog when the nut backed off the clutch Basket and it hit the primary. For whatever reason, R&B Cycle who did the warranty work on the bike said BDM would not cover it under warranty and I had to pay for the cable. Seems like when the clutch assembly came apart and hit the primary cover they would cover it but they did not ........Would not do anything about the primary cover because the damage was cosmetic....
Sometimes I wonder if I was being bs'ed by the dealer so they could make a dollar...oh well
