Just got the bike. 2002 bull bog. Love it. I have the 107 TP Engineering motor in her. Anyone else have one? Anything unique about the motor besides the oil pump? 103hp at the wheel sound right?

It is a TP Block. It is stock. I guess there are not a lot out there. Would be great to hear if anyone else had this option on their bike from stock. Here is a pic of the manual that came with it. I also has the Baker 6 speed. Which was only an option in 2002. Although it is not a right-side-drive.

There was a guy on here awhile ago who I think had one. He was from California someplace. He was building his up. Maybe if you do a search something will come up.

I am on location in Laredo right now when I get back I will take more. But, these are the ones I have so far. Only had the bike a week. came with bags and a fairing. I am going that direction with it. Couldn't find a 11" rear bagger fender. So, I am making mine with some fenders and metal I had laying around. I will need a new seat. These are all the pics I have. Starter had a horrible grinding noise. Removed the starter to inspect. Then removed the outer primary. The jack-shaft bolt threads had stripped out. So, I ordered an "All Balls Racing" kit for a 10 tooth. Turns out I need the 9 tooth. So it is on order. Also had trouble keeping it running at first. I was able to narrow down the problem to a spark plug wire. The end broke off in the insulation. I will be moving the oil tank and battery into a saddle bag and routing an exhaust pipe in their place for duals. That's the idea for now anyway. Also included are the before and afters of my last bike 08 night train.20170328_184105.jpg 20170328_124549.jpg 20170328_124559.jpg 20170328_124623.jpg 20170328_124834.jpg 20170328_135155.jpg 20170328_135157.jpg 20170328_135202.jpg 20170328_135211.jpg 20170328_171612.jpg

Man, that is one unique setup. Pretty cool you are tackling the completion of the fender/hard bag mods. Unfortunately, I think that TP motor was a rare choice for BD. This is the first one I have noted.

Early Big Dogs used TP motors.
The only unique thing I remember about them was the head bolt holes were spot faced at the wrong angle causing head gasket problems. If your bike has no head gasket issues, it was probably repaired a long time ago.
There's a Drag Specialties rep in Tenn. who was a Big Dog warranty center. His name is Jim McGlynn. You may try getting in touch with him for more info.
I used to do machine work for him when he was in So. Florida.

Thanks. The paperwork I have with the bike show both head and base gaskets were replaced in 2011 at around 6k miles. Now the bike only has 11k. I hope the repair holds for at least a year or two more. I will need to make double sure the motor is warmed up before I ride.

I have a 2000 Pro Sport with a 107 TP. I freaking hate it. I've had nothing but problems with it. But, It's finally to a point where it's not leaking anymore so that's good. I've rebuilt the top and bottom ends twice and just recently replaced rocker box gaskets, again.

have a 2001 Mastiff that has a 107 TP in it. Crank case is Bigdog but cylinders and heads are TP with a Mikuni carb and Kerkner exhaust.
Supposed to be the performance package for the Mastiff in 2001 and between 105- 110 hp
Welcome! Thx for sharing the pic! Sweet looking BigDog! Rigid frame? I am partial to that color! Mine is TP 107 completely. S&S shorty carb & Blow Performance exhaust. 2000 Vintage Sport.0329D9D9-C704-42D6-9C55-7CF791103547.jpeg
