I think it would be in great contrast to the chrome. Post up some pics if you decide to paint it.Curious, is there anyone out there with a stock BDM air cleaner cover that's been painted to match the bike? I'm painting my Chopper and thinking about doing the air cleaner to match but don't know if it would be too much or not. Would love to see some if anyone has one or has any pictures of one.
That's what I was thinking, break up the middle a little. May test it with some auto air waterbased paint to see what it would lool like. Then I could just wipe it off with some cleaner.

Yeah I may give it a shot, i like it.Either on mine or keep an eye out for a scratched up cover on ebay to paint.
Will do, I'm thinking of painting it black with blue fire to match the tins but use my decal cutter to make a Big Dog logo stencil and have the fire going around it, so the logo will remain black with the fire around it .Just the thinking stage right now, I may do a test panel of it after I get the side covers done.
I have one maybe two of these. Unfortunately, this one has a hole drilled and tapped in the center of it, and I believe it has a couple drilled in the back edge of it.
