Looks like junk to me. That little set screw that holds the filter on the 90 will most likely vibrate and fall off. Sometimes you get what you pay for.D&m is the way to go.

Rember you would need some kind of support bracket.

Price reflects not being supplied with a mounting bracket.

I keep an eye on ebay daily for GOOD used or new (at a good price) parts. this dude had or has a ton of these too. Listen to Ray and Gas and the rest of the good people on this site. They wont steer you wrong...

I purchased that exact Spike intake and it came with all mounting parts and gaskets. Mounted clean and looks sweet. I will be taking pictures this weekend.

This aircleaner REQUIRES this part and it's $242 from D&M. If you don't use this then you will have problems down the road.

I hope you're using a support bracket like the one Ray has pictured. If not you are sure to cause intake leaks.

Another round please
I have a D&M spike if you want it. I had the entire setup but not enough air was getting in. I made a cut at the elbow and slid on a K&N filter. Works and look cool. So I have just the spike and filter I could give anyone. Its not the super spikey one, but the end is rounded alittle bit.

Without support bracket:

With support bracket:

Without the support bracket you take a chance of getting intake leaks.

Wow....Didn't realize. I just put on Vance & Hines Big Radius exhaust and thought I was in the right direction with this Intake. What would be the exact right one to purchase that also looks nice.

Some people don't like the spike air filters, they say they don't "breath" enough. Some have ran them straight up and down instead of pointing forward and say they get more air that way. I have never had a problem with mine pointed straight ahead. But then I'm only running V&H 2 into 2 pipes and the D&M filter. Everything else is stock. Bike runs great
