Need some help guys. I just get my 05 chopper out of the shop after almost 2 1/2 months for the top end noise issue. Dealer replaced heads, rocker boxes, cylinders, pistons. While they had everything torn down I decided to go with the 600 cam package. Finally pick up the bike yesterday and ride home (20 miles), seems ok except needing a little carb adjustment. Decide to put a few miles on it while keeping below 3000 rpm and just cruising around town in an area without a bunch of stop lights to keep air moving across cylinders. I start to notice a little rough acceleration after making right turns from a stop. Doesn't do it making left turns or straight riding. Happen to glance behind after taking a right turn and I'm leaving a trail of blue smike like a fighter jet at an airshow. Smoke clears up after a short distance, but keeps doing it every hard right turn. Head back to the house and am thinking dealer overfilled oil tank, so I pull seat and check oil. oil level not even close to bottom of dipstick. Decide not to add any, so dealer can evaluate how much consumed in the 50 miles I put on the bike after picking it up. I call the dealer and they send a trailer to pick it up.
So I figure I have a few options;
1. Never make right turns
2. Modify a camel-pak to hold oil instead of water
3. wash bike, never ride it and just look at it a lot and ride the harley.
What do you guys think for possible reasons for the smoke. I thought might be too much ring gap, except only notice smoke after right turn. What about the breather gear? I'm at a loss except for the fact the chopper will be sitting at the dealer for God knows how long this time...
