I'm looking for beta testers.
I'm working on "dash replacement app" that I want to have replace my speedo. Now there are some definite limitations, as it wont replace your tach (without some sort of hardware going into the phone). But I'm thinking it would be cool to have a dashboard that had your speedo, compass/navigation, and possibly a quick button to start video recording your ride. And not that it usually matters but GPS derived speed is significantly more accurate.
The other benefit and what I'd like to do is have different skins, so you can simply go into settings and select a retro speedo face, or have a modern digital looking face. right now its wide open. you can also do augmented reality where as your driving around the application is pointing toward points of interest, restaurants, mechanics, petrol stations etc etc.
This is very early in development I currently have one screen with lat/long location, speed, bearing, and fix accuracy in meters.
This is just for fun for now as I have a full time job and do consulting work on and off so there is no deadline nor am I promising to have it done on a specific date.
Anyone interested in telling me how bad my code is?
