Another senseless tragedy

That was on RT16 from Kerrville down to Bandera. It's an absolutely beautiful road with a couple hairpin turns, one of the rare ones in TX. Been on it many times, one of those roads that if you are within 100 miles you find a way to make it over there.

A road you do need to be extra careful on and there are big signs on the roads for drivers and motorcyclist that give the death toll on that road. What a senseless terrible event.

Being from San Antonio area I have rode this route countless times. Regardless, it is a senseless tragedy. Thoughts and prayers to all involved.

It’s is a senseless tragedy. A good friend of mine was in a similar situation. She is a sub contractor who delivers mail out in the county. On a Friday afternoon she was on her route when she was hit from behind by a F-450 . She was stopped at a mail box when he hit her. She was thrown over 100 feet. Broke her pelvis, both legs, caved in the right side of her chest with 10 broken ribs, collapsed lung and bruised heart. The driver of the truck was an illegal Mexican who was drunk. He got bailed out and skipped town. Probably ran back to Mexico. She lost her route due to she could not drive for a yr. she couldn’t file for unemployment because she was a sub contractor. She lost her house and had to move in with her brother and his family. The illegal had no car insurance. She has nothing to fall back on. So yes I have a real issue with illegals in this country. Now you have 9 police officers hurt and 3 dead over the same basic reason. An illegal, drunk behind the wheel with no insurance!!
