I was riding Sunday nite with my son and stopped to have a coke
and when we got ready to leave you guessed it put in 1st. gear and bike
starts to kreap on its own. 05 chopper.Pulled down the clutch and the
clutch is still in good shape the clutch basket is all to pieces.Contacked
dealer and he says they at big dog will stand behind the clutch carrier
but they will not go for the clutch basket. Amagon that:
Our dealer hear is 60 miles away and will not go to bat for us I guess
I have bought my last dog on that account its a shame because I love
riding it.:down:

i hear ya on that,bdm should have done a recall and not only on the clutch carrier,but other failures as well..prob would be my last dog,if i were to buy another bike also..lets go bigdog step up!!!!!!!! godd luck byrd

TByrd.... call BDM directly. They will take care of you. And tell them once they say they'll cover it... that you don't want to take it to your dealer due to the story above.

Ive called Big Dog and Amy told me that the carrier is the only thing that
they will replace.

Thats sucks. I guess we should have all bought the extended warrenty. Hope it works out. I know Harley would say F-U after the warrenty expired. At least Big Dog is doing something for you. Don't give up on the Dog. This to shall pass.

Anybody with an 05 that hasn’t been looked at should pull it down and see if they have the new carrier!!!!

I've tried all day today to call big dog back and talk to consumers affairs
and can not even get them to call me back.go figure:

:hi: hey T-Bird, do you know if the complete clutch assembly from a 2006 Mastiff will fit your Chopper. I replaced my set up with a Baker Open Drive and have the complete assembly just sitting there. I don't plan on ever using it again, it only has about 500 miles on it. If it fits you are welcome to it, just pay for the shipping and its yours. :2thumbs:

I take my hat off to Little Boo and other people just like him, in this day
and age we don't see much like this go on and it does do some thing for
your heart, when you have something like thiis happen to you or even hear
about it.And I have nothing but good things to say about our form.It is a
very big help to me and I would say to every one on it.I hat is off to every
one on it. and a very special thanks to Carlos.

Carlos, got my package today and it is just what the doctor ordered.:2thumbs:I sure do appreciate it bro. I've been busy this week my chief is off on vacation:down: and there are only two of us so you can imagine how it is.
