Another Oil Filter Question

Hey guys, I read some posts here on oil filters, and I gotta telll you, all this micron talk, got me a little confused. I have the 107 S&S motor, and just want a a decent filter to put on. I don't want to purchase the re-usable one yet. Money is tight right now (especially after purchasing this bike) :D I will get that later. But On my 1200 Sporty that I used to have, Advanced auto had a chrome filter for like $10.00. Can I use the same one for the S&S? Does anyone have a part # so I can get one. I manage a quick lube, and we use Pennzoil filters, so I was wondering if anyone had a part # so I can cross reference it possibly to a Pennzoil filter. It doesn't have to be chrome. I am so neurotic with oil changes, I will probably change the oil every 1000 miles anyway.
Thanks!
Mike

I wish I had more money.
Hell if I did what you do for a living I would change it all the time to. I have 11000 miles on my bike and it had the original oil still in it. I can't harldy believe it myself sometimes.

I am pretty crazy about oil changes. I use Mobil one oil in all three of my cars, and they never go a mile over 3000 miles. I even have the Ole Lady trained on it. I do my trans services every 15000, and do my rear diff on my T/A every 10000. I will be suprised if I go over 1000 miles on the bike.:D

you can order filters from S&S directly at 866-244-2673 Part # 31-402
Or you can use a WIX #51225 it is chrome

Hey STLMIKIE:Running your $10,000 engine 11000 miles with out oil change is just asking for trouble, must have more $ than common sense.I have seen car engines spin rod bearings at that mileage with out service.

Thanks for the info, I can probably cross the wix # to a Pennzoil filter. If not, I can get it through S&S. You Da Man!:2thumbs:

Is there something wrong with the K&N's that come on all our bikes?
