another no start

So wanted to ride today bike turns over and after 10 seconds the RPM starts flashing but no start. took off air breather and has gas. took out spark plug and got very light spark. finally had to put on charger as battery got low. has been sitting for a few (5) months as very busy schedule..anybody got any ideas.

If it has been sitting for months, before you tried to start it, you may of just worn down the battery. If the plugs were in there for 5 months, without being run I would replace them. And charge up the battery all the way. How is the fuel? Is it also 5 months old? May want to put in fresh. It does kind of go bad after some time. As for the weak spark, I don't know for sure. Do the above and check the battery connections for corrosion and such. Report back.

drained the gas from the tank and carb, changed plugs, started up and got to ride. think it had bad gas

The BIke has been running great. Went out the other day and - no start. It cranks but like no spark. Pulled both plugs and checked for spark - none! Changed coil - same results. Turned the switch on and checked - I have juice all the way to the coil but it seems from that point forward (coil and plug wires) I'm not getting any spark at either plug. Not sure what would cause both plug wires to go bad at same time. But I'll replace them next.
Any other ideas??

I have the same issue with mine. Mine had been stored for over 6 months. Started it up, rode it a mile down the road and it died at a set of traffic lights. now it won't start. It'll crank fine, but no start. Has spark. Tach ring starts flashing a few seconds after I hit run. Has a new battery and EHC. 08 EFI Mastiff.

Dont take this wrong, but did ya turn on the gas petcock? Sometimes its the simple stuff. Sometimes not... Just thinking out loud.

That's what I was thinking too, but he says it's EFI. I don't think it has a petcock. EFI harleys don't. I'm not sure about EFI big dogs. Fuel pump working?

Kiwi - possible fuel pump, bad gas, no gas in tank.
Jack - possible spark maker is the crank sensor. Meter set to AC, install both probes to each wire. It's one long wire and you're holding both ends. So if it makes AC it's not it.
