Start at the top of the troubleshooting tree;

What's the battery voltage and are all the connections -especially the ground cables tight?

if the battery is good.. check the main harness plugs on the ehc,, it could have come lose .. mine did it @ 500 mile except my screws that hold the harness to the ehc broke.. if it is lose all power will shut off.. be sure to dielectric greese these before reinstalling em..

Fresh battery first. HD AGM is a good one for the money. Get bike runnin and check voltage from the regulator (also make sure circuit breaker has not tripped) My 08 Voltage regultor did a slow death. Short rides no problem as I would come home and put it on the tender. Went about 200 miles and the batt was just about dead. VR was puttin out about 10 volts and bike was runnin on batt and VR. New VR and about an hour on the tender and its gravy!

The battery needs to be at about 12.8v for proper Electronic Harness Controller (EHC) operation. Check the battery voltage after a good charge cycle and after it's been off the charger an hour.

Are any LED's lit on the EHC when the key is turned ON?

Check all battery terminal wire crimps for solid tight crimps.

Test for 12v power through the circuit breaker.

I had a similar problem and chased it around for a while. It tured out to be a short in the keyed switch left me stranded comeing back from the smokeout changed batteris and everyting else. Hope it is just a ground and welcome to the site...........

Cool!

Check the crimp connectors that connect to the battery post for a tight crimp. Give a tug on them and inspect them closely. Mine worked loose and caused the bike to die while riding or wouldnt' turn on correctly like a bad EHC.

Let us know what you find out.

Welcome to the forum dude,

I understand when the scooter goes down, you just want help to get it going again. You are very fortunate that it was just the ground and not the dreaded ech.
