Good you caught it now, if the frame was black it would have been harder to see.

Mods, could we get a sticky thread for cracked/broken frames?
Exactly, this is something we may want to start tracking, to see if we can see if there is a trend to year, model, or frame.

I already have the TP rocker boxes......I don't need a cracked frame to go with them :D Just checked my frame.....besides no paint on the bottom of both sides I'm good for now.

Dingo Showed me where his broke and it was on the opposite side, same area on a 07 K9, His problem occurred a few years back. I hope this isn't the start of a trend. I went out this morning and went over mine again. Sorry to see it. Keep us posted on the repair.

I had handlebar and frame issues.......see handlebar-weld-issue.

So is it only on the 2007's??
I think it's an 05 up issue (Rays 05 Chopper broke) BDM started using their own frame on the Chopper later in 05. Mine is a BDM frame that's what they replaced Ray's with so I'm happy....

I wonder which frame it is???? DT RT?????

It could happen on any welded frame.
Too much heat one time and you end up with brittle steel and a break.
Along with increased production thats why manufacturers love robots because they can get consitency they can't get from humans.

Yep posted on that thread too! Daytec frame with a little more than 29,000 miles on the scoot. "2008 Mastiff" Frame was most likely built in 2007 time frame I would guess! I bought the scoot in August 2008 brand new with 36 miles on the odometer...

Daytec frame...
Just wondering how you know it's a Daytec frame? The '08 manual only shows one style (integral neck cup) for the triple trees and that matches the BDM frame style in the '07 manual. In that manual the Daytec frames had replaceable neck cups.

Dennis from what I understand BDM took over the frames in 08 but I could be wrong? I do believe mine was built in 07 seeing as they usually start the next year model the prior year. I could be wrong there too! :D

So now that there is more and more of these showing up...how are you planning on fixing it? New frame? Have someone fix the old one? Anyone out there that can help? Just curious.
