Just after getting my Coyote to this tiny island they call Guam, my Dog had the flu with a bad regulator. After much research and debating with the committee in my head I purchased a new regulator from Curtis, and since I was there I managed to slip in a set of 2.5" forward controls extensions. I spent quite a bit of time just trying to find a place to do the work, when a friend finally offered me the use of his garage (I think the 5th of Crown was truly the key). I learned quite a bit about the wiring and besides breaking the rear break light connector everything went fairly well.
As you can see, we had a nice make-shift bike stand, the only problem was the floor jack wouldn't hold pressure so we kept having to pump it up every 10 minutes.
We did the forward controls first because i thought that would be the easier of the two jobs.
Unfortunately I did not take many pics during the regulator replacement; the big black man is my friend and Master Sergeant with the USAF, couldn't have asked for a better workin partner and drinking buddy.
Certainly had a great time even with the 90 degree heat and 60% humidity. I learned a few new things about my bike and got to quench my thirst with a little Crown. Basically a great day.
Before I forget, I do need to give a shout out to Franco for the manual what I loaded on the iPad to use a reference, thanks Franco!!
