Annoying Squeak (Forks / Frame)

I have a really annoying problem with my 05 BDM chopper with a squeak.

It sounds like it’s coming from the point where the forks attach to the frame. When accelerating it doesn’t do it. It only squeaks when coming off the throttle with the clutch released (engine engaged) while slowing using the engine to brake. Pulling the clutch stops the squeak as I guess the weight is distributed differently onto the forks.

Its really annoying and cramps my style. Pulling the clutch every time I brake to stop it isn’t ideal…

Has anyone else had this? Is there an easy way to fix, without taking the forks completely off to re lubricate?

Thanks

Sounds like you have some dry and or bad neck bearings. But first, check your front gas tank mount. I broke a bolt on mine once and had a bad squeaky noise.

Had an annoying squeak every time I let off on the throttle.
Checked and tightened everything up front because it sounded like it came from there.

Turned out to be the rear drive belt rubbing on the inside of the pulley.
Temporarily stopped the squeak by rubbing a bar of soap on the sides of the belt.

Permanently fixed it by aligning the rear wheel.:D
