Andy's last stop before home

Andy was moved to a Rehab hospital yesterday.
This hospital does intense physical and mental therapy.
So far, I like this place and I think Andy will excel here.
Andy trained for Triathons and weight building, so he knows how hard this work can be and he likes the challenge. (if his health is up to it)
Mentally, they may realize he just can't be fixed in the head.
He's always been a little nuts.
He will be evaluated next week to see how long he will be staying there.
They told me usually about 4 weeks.
That disappoints Andy, but I tell him, this is the last stop before home!
He continues to improve in all aspects every day. :)
We talk about the forum everyday. He is anxious to make his own post about his ordeal when he is able. He may have to change his name "LARGEANDREW". He has lost 80 lbs.!

Again, thank you all for caring. It has helped me to talk about what we are going through and to hear your support and knowing prayers were being sent.

With much love for you all,
Cindy

Excellant...excellant news !!! :whoop::whoop: Sounds like he is making great strides towards getting home. It will just take time, and patience and hopefully will result in a full recovery. Now might be the time to start saying "but honey you have always bought me large diamonds on my birthday...you just can't remember because of the accident.":roll:

Good to hear! 4 weeks will fly by. My uncle was in rehab last year and I think he actually enjoyed it.

Could we get the address of the rehab, Cindy? I'd still like to make the drive to visit if I can fit it in my schedule. (Let me know if anyone wants to carpool)

Thanks Cindy! Thoughts and Prayers continued.

well, cindy i think the worst is over now you got to stay on his ass to work hard, though from what you say he liked to do, this should be old hat for him. i can only say maybe there is a god! i guess it,s that he just likes messing with some of us to see if were strong enough to take it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very good news! They will progress Andrew much better there than if they just sent him home, and still keep an eye on him as well. Then when he really gets to come home he will be much better off in the long run. Losing the weight will probably help him progress even faster too. Very, very good news! Heading down the home strech now. It will be here before you know it too, right before the weather starts getting warmer. Oh, if Andy has anyone in his room now that gets on his nerves, or keeps him awake, a simple solution. Ear plugs! You know you all, as in "You All" are still in my prayers everyday. Andy will make a full recovery, and if it is just 98.8 % full recovery when everything is said and done, Andy can do what I do, "Fake It!", Trust the Good Lord for the rest!

Thank you for the update, and have a great weekend as well,
Ray :2thumbs:
