K-9 Bitch
aka K-9 Sweetie
Andy has been in the Rehab Hospital for 5 days now. He is working with a Physical, Recreational and Occupational Therapist and a Neurologist. They all met with me today to inform me of Andy's progress and to give me a date for possible dismissal from the hospital. They are giving me a date of Feburary 5.
Two weeks!
Andy was thrilled, but told me he doesn't believe he can do it in two weeks. The physical therapy is whipping his ass. He is still so weak and they say his brain isn't sending the right signals to his legs to make them work right. But they were all impressed to see someone who has been through what Andy has been through, be at this stage of Rehab already. I tell Andy he improves everyday. He started dressing himself yesterday (except for putting on those pesky socks and tying tennis shoes).
But this is something he might be able to do tomorrow. Every day just gets better.
One draw back, he has some serious bed sores. They need to be in a better stage of healing before I can bring him home. So we will see.
Anyway, all is going great.
Oh yeah.....they finally removed his trach!
