Anchor point

I did a thread last week about Quick Ties, looking at other options that were suggested,I put it on the back burner, until yesterday while in Home Depot I found these, for like $8.00.Still my main concern is these things pulling through the bed of my P/U truck. They state to have a 1,400lb strength cap. and 460lb working load limit.Looking for reassurance or a No F'n way would I use those.Tell me what you think. Thanks

look good if you are really concerned use a larger backing plate under the bed also change to nyloc nuts so you won't have to worry about nuts backing off

I would go with at least 1/2" eye bolts and larger backing plates. You are trying to protect a five figure investment why even think about saving money.

you would also need to think about the fact that you are only putting these "anchors' into sheet metal, now if you find a specific place and run them through the sheet metal and through the frame ...well in my opinion then they could be called anchors....

:iagree: Personally I'd use one on each side through the frame with a good size washer or steel plate.
