Andy is continuing to improve at an amazing rate.
The doctors and nurses at the Pre-Hab Hospital (what I call a Rehab hospital before the real Rehab) are amazed that someone who was in his condition is doing so well in such a short time out of ICU.
Andy's mind is still waking up after a long winters nap and he has some amusing tales. Andy tells me:
1. His doctor is REALLY a professional comedian.
2. There is a man at mile marker 40 in Newfoundland waiting to take him
hiking and camping.
3. He can't watch football any more because they have changed the rules and he doesn't understand them. One of them is, you make more points if you score a touchdown in the shade and less if you run in the endzone backwards in the sun. (I don't know what happens if the teams are playing in a Dome.).:lol:
4. All they served him to eat at the new hospital is (drum roll please)
Pureed Chinese Cat Dicks. (WTF?) He doesn't like them!:lol: He had a talk with a nurse and told her he refused to eat them any more, so now they give him better food now.
Andy's mind is really doing good. Right now he his having trouble with some things, but that's natural for some one who has been through this type trauma. I took a seminar after Andy's accident on what to expect and how to handle head trauma patients.
I think you guys know I am NOT making fun of Andy. I just thought these things were funny.
Andy did say when he is able to write a thank you to all of you for your prayers and support, he wants to tell you your prayers were heard and you saved him. (see, I told you his mind is really doing OK)
