American Made?

I was wondering which bike has more "american made" parts on them. Big Dog or Harley Davidson? Just curious.:flag:

I was kind of thinking BD also. I figured the frame and motor and trans. The rest I wasn't sure about. You don't see any where on it where it says made in Japan. But I figured I would ask the pro's here. So what were saying is BD is more American than harley?

You would be surprised how many HD parts are made in Taiwan and China..

BDM definitely has more American Made parts.

Next time you're in a Harley dealership, pick a few parts off the rack and see where they're made.

You'll find many of their smaller items are marked "Made in China"!

I went through the big dog plant and the harley engine plant. I was very impressed on the Big Dog Plant one bike at a time I believe the only item on a big dog motorcycle that is no American is the front forks. The harley plant is just a high speed robot assembly line. So even if the harley uses some American parts there assembled by Japan robots. LOL So you choose a big dog built by a American who come from America, or a Harley assemblied in America by a Jap Robot.

To work on a big dog only requires one 10mm metric tool for the battery.

To work on a HD requires a complete metric tool set.
