Anyone know of a good "spray on" Al cleaner.

Not for my bike or a show polished surface, I am talking about oxidation on a car engine block.

Also, once you get it clean, antsy thing help with keeping it clean, sealed? Links are helpful.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Knows some things
When I'm detailing old Harleys, I use electro cleaner, then spray it down with WD-40. They look pretty good when I'm done.

I did try a little brake clean and that did pretty good. Similar to electro clean I would think.

Interesting. I posted the same question on the LS1 forum at this was the response I got. Could you not clean it this way then rinse it real good and seal it with something?

Keep in mind it's just cast Al. Not polished or anything.

"Go get AC EVAPORATOR cleaner http://www.toolfetch.com/fjc-5914-fo...FUGRHwodHL0E-w ,There are many others out there too. Its a mild acid for cleaning ac systems. Block will shine like new. I've also used plain vinegar, spray it on and let it sit for 1/2 hr. Its a mild acid that will clean the aluminum surface."

Go ahead and put an acid wash on it, you will be happy twice!

Once before you spray that shit, second time when you finally get wizard rubs and have completely gotten the shit off your aluminum!

If it is polished aluminum acid will turn it white. The only way to clean polished aluminum to polish it again after a good acid wash.
