aluminum grips

I recently put revolver grips and pegs on my bike and when I ride my hands turn black I cleaned then before riding and same results, is that normal, I hope not??

Don't understand this black shit. I bought my grips powdercoated black. Spent $50 bucks for black powder coated pointed grips. Striped the coating and polished on my buffing wheel, no black shit after a day's ride.
Maybe you guys need to polish and really rub hard for a while to fully remove the oxidation. I use this stuff called Hot Flash, works really well. I do get the black shit while polishing, but after the initial polish and rubbing with a few different rags, no black shit and no black transmittion to the hands.

Why would they make aluminum grips and what about the clutch and brake levers, there aluminum as well.

I just bought these , havent polished them but I have used cleaners on them so my hands wouldnt turn black but still got the black .

I dont get it ... wtf

Well maybe you should polish them, and then give them a nice coat of wax. Might even help.

did all that now , re polished them and washed them and rubbed them with micro fiber clothers over and over and still the black hands wtf is that?

I wish I had more money.
You may be able to pull them polish them up then shoot some clear on them. May be worth a shot.

That is what I was thinking. "Clearcoat". You can always easily remove it with buffing and compound.

Try the hot flash polish. Rode all day today today here in PA, well into the 90's, no gloves and no black shit on my hands.
