I was on my way back from the hog ralley in hot springs, Arkansas I filled up before I left it's 100 miles from house to hot springs I rode around town stopped by the Harley shop and headed home I went a different way than I usually do and didn't know there where no gas stations for about 80 miles. So I limped it in to a station on reserve I put around 185 miles on one tank. I won't ever do that again I was sweating bullets. But other than that I had a good time and nobody got killed so I guess it was a good ride.

185 miles? WTF? My Ridgeback could never do that.
I hear ya! I've seen where guys have done it on k9's before and I Always called bullshit but I guess if the conditions are right it will . But that was all it had I put 4.28 gallons in a 4.4 gallon tank .That will tell ya how low it was.

:2thumbs: Sounds like you were getting the same gas mileage as I did (approximately 43.2 mpg) on my way to Austin for the ROT Rally running around 78 to 80 mph. I filled up around 146 miles on two occasions with a target of stopping every 100 miles.:D

Man, that's getting all you can out of a tank of gas. I plan on filling up at 100 miles almost every time. I've gotten up to 130+ a couple of times but never pushed it any further.

I just got back from the Sparks run yesteday. Gave the dog a bath and took it out for a quick dry. Showed 160.3 when I had to switch to reserve. Did the math on the fill up and figured out to 48.19 mpg. Seems kinda high. I had to triple check the numbers to be sure I had it right. Not complaining......:2thumbs:
