SIICK!!!
Gas cap came from my dealer. The cap has a raised skull. I have an idea for a new cap though. Looking into a pop-up cap painted the same color as the bike with the flames running through it...essentially hiding the cap . IMHO the cap takes away from the tank graphics.

The downtube stickers definately need to go...maybe next weekend...if I touch the sled again this weekend my wife  might accidentally sell it while I'm out of town this week. :argue:

Man that gas cap is SIICK!! hey newbie.....did you ever find a web site for those gas caps??

looks awesome! What's it like with an all chrome grip...I'm too afraid of my hands slipping off.
I have formed the habit of always wearing gloves, which help a lot with the all-metal grips - and, provide some rider protection as well.

I think it was Gas that siliconed his axle spikes to his axel. good call becasue I lost one today. Most people know that I ride my bike like I stole it but still that dab of silicone may save some aggrivation.

It wasn't the axle the spikes... it was the handlebar spikes... but that makes me think!

I know...but everytime I read Gas' thread on 'Rebirth of the Phoenix' I realize I'm still a damn newbie. Big Dog fever is running rampid through my family...Yesterday my brother picked up his 2007 K-9 in Arkansas-gotta a steal-$5,000 in mods, only 1,300 miles on it and bought it for $24K even http://www.bigdogbiker.com/forums/general/2798-all-family.html. My dad and brother took the BDM tour on their way to Arkansas and now my dad is going to purchase a 2008 K-9. This year's Sturgis trip is going to be a family affair. The three of us are meeting in Grand Junction, CO and driving together to Sturgis...the wives will follow behind in the RV. Damn...life is good! :whoop:  :whoop:

Gotta watch out for that factory tour - it's often a helluva lot more expensive than the free admission! :D

Exactly...my brother said the same thing when we walked out of the factory w/$700 worth of merchandise, etc. Hopefully Brian (in sales and he gives the tours) is getting a commission on product sales...I dropped $500 after my tour...:2thumbs:

I felt fortunate this time just dropping $400 - but then, it was Valentine's day, so I picked up some stuff for my cutie.

And part of the cost was a jacket for Raywood - he wanted one that they only sell at the factory store. Maybe he'll get Glenda to model it again, like he did with his leather coat. If you don't know what I mean, check out his calendar month (April). :D
