Alarm System?

I'm looking into getting an alarm system for the Bulldog (2-way long range).
Anyone have one installed? I don't care about the remote start, but the remote shutdown/anti-hijack is a great feature.
I'll be visiting the southern Phoenix area in late March to catch a few Cubs games and will be taking the motorhome and bike, so she'll be exposed at night in a very large campground.
I'm also considering just getting a disc brake lock with alarm since it will be a much easier solution, and means no extra time screwing with wiring over the coldest part of winter.

Advice/experience?

I've put my ignition switch on a hidden toggle switch, then wired the key switch, to the horn, and leave the key in it. I hear horn, person dies of lead poisoning. Simple, and cheep. Plus, it's insured for twice what it's worth.

I'll have my Ruger KP-90 and SCCY CPX-2 along, but if I don't know they're screwing with my bike ...
I think a disc brake lock with integrated alarm will be the best fit for now. The SCCY along with my Woolrich Elite jacket are a great concealed carry setup!

Right now I have 3 bikes in my garage with the doors open and keys in the ign's. Of course living in the middle of an orange grove miles from nowhere helps. We also have 2 little chawwas (who can ever spell that) and a bulldog (Bubba) so we know if a mouse comes on our property. IF someone comes on the property we have 12 guns fully loaded ready to go... or just let Bubba have some fun...

When we go to Daytona I have a disk lock which is ok but if they really want your bike they will get it. My buddy 2 years ago had his stolen in Daytona and he had a disk lock and an alarm. He also had good insurance so he got more than the bike was worth...

If they want it they will get it, in Daytona, a lot of people don't want to pay the $7 to park, so they park in an area that's not watched, and by that I mean, if your in the pay to park, you don't get the bike out of the area without a ticket stub with your license # on it, Cheap $7 insurance if you ask me. It don't matter what you have it locked with, 4-6 guys will pick it up and load it in seconds. Insurance is the way to go.:old2:
