Air Ride "ups 7 downs"

In 2005 I installed air ride on my 2004 Chopper and loved the ride till it began failing. Legend air ride went through some teething problems and made several changes for the better but only after I was stranded twice with the rear tire against the fender. The last time was at Sturgis 2007 with one new improved shock that wouldn't hold air. My emergency fix at the time was to install one original shock with the one air shock. Worked so well that it is still that way, and no worry about being on the fender again if the air system gives out. The one original shock will keep me off the fender. Didn't plan it that way but sure has turned out great. Just another one of my BDM experiences. :bang:

Low Down Chop Shop
Install a Urathane bump stop so when it is all the way down it sets on gthe bump stop and not something dangerous. That is how I do all my air ride cars and trucks.

I'm not sure where his are because my 04 has them and there is no way the tire would hit the fender.

To answer all the replys, a urethane bump stop uses up some of the shock travel and the Legend shocks do not have them. I still have an adjustable soft or harsh ride. If you look at the picture of me to the left here, you will see how low my rear fender is. That pic was taken at Sturgis 2007 with the one bad air shock just before installing the one stock shock. Again, just my way of solving the problem.
