I also found that the horizontal spike made the bike "hesitate" when I gently rolled on the power at 60+.

Turned the spike to the north and the stumble was gone...

Horizontal looks much cooler... But Form Follows Function.

I am going outside to try a SS teardrop cleaner right now... To me that A/C means business... always has.

If it works the spike will go to the Swap Meet

Thanks Earl and Earl is correct....Metzler ME880. Went through 2 Cobras in 2500 miles. Gonna give the Metzler's a try this go around. The other dog is (Dean's) Kiwirider

Ran mine vertical and liked the way it looked and ran. Currently have the S&S Desparado and like it also. If you are changing from stock air cleaner make sure you remove the auxiliary bowl vent screw from carb or it will stumble whatever you go with.

had mine vertical until I got a XXX Mini Taz Carb. Now I can run it in the horizontal position without any issues

S&S Desparado (got a good deal from Shovelhead Kicker) K&N air filter and a 1/2" thick spacer cut to match the gasket between the carb and backing plate so I can drop the bowl now if needed with out having to remove the backing plate.:2thumbs:
