You may as well have left it stock with that air cleaner. You will never get it pull up top to it's full potential. I bet it fouls the front plug?I've had the D&M Raptor air cleaner on my K9 for about nine months, I really like the way it looks, that's one of the first things people say about my bike...cool air cleaner...it was a bitch to dial in though...still don't have my carb exactly the way I want it, I go though sparkplugs about every 300 miles...too rich...I had the larger Red Shift cam installed, port & polished, stronger springs...so all this in conjunction with the new air cleaner has me all screwed up...
Good choice, I am going this way too .. Vickie help!Hoat....I am going to go with the S&S Desperado Teardrop one....Gas has a few pic's of his in his road to Phoenix thread...and I believe Blitz also has one too!

Ok I'll do it!!!buy this months issue of american iron mag. january 2008. great story on air filters!!!
I'm going to have to disagree. First, the stock size filter only flows in the mid 200cfm range. I read in an article that a 117ci engine needs about 310 cfm. The S&S Big filter is rated at 325 cfm. Granted, on a 100% stock bike you may not notice the higher rpm gains since the stock cam and exhaust are such MAJOR restrictions, but with my 600 cam and pipes there is a major gain in seat of the pants power with the extended filter.Like others here I run the S&S Desperado. Don't bother with the extended air filter -- uncomfortable against the inside of your right knee and provides no real noticible increase in perf.
