Air cleaner

What are you guys all using for an air filter? If K&N, what part # would an 09 Mastiff take? The S&S probably flows pretty well but once it gets dirty I'll probably switch it to a reusable, oiled filter. How about the stock cover? Is it worthwhile getting more air into it by installing a screen in the front? I kind of like the looks of it but doubt that much air gets in to the carb.

Thanks,
Dan

#E3226 (that is if you have the carb model and not the EFI) you will have to grind off the tab as stated in the instructions so the filter will sit flat against the plate. screen is good until you get into a monsoon, tends to allow too much water into the motor. i think bdmridgeback has a good lookin' screen in his list of products for sale. check him out.

i dont have a k&n i have a drag specialties filter just like the k&n, i also have the screen from jake (low down chop shop) I know with the two it let more air in and I had to richen up my carb so i am sure you will have to do the same.

V that's an updated version of the old school S&S a/c, didn't realize they now have the additional air openings in the lower half of the cover or is that more for rain drainage? never the less a good deal @ $75.00:2thumbs:
Yep, it's called the "Desparodo" I believe. I swaped out the BD cover with screen for one of these.
