I finally got my Big Dog i've saved for for over 6 yrs. I have a 2002 Mastiff that's just cherry but the previous owner had forward controls installed which are 2-3" farther forward. I had a heck of a time keeping my feet on them at that distance and I'm 6'1". I don't want to replace the controls. Any suggestions? Are there any footpads available? Could I add another set of pegs behind these so i can switch from one to another for comfort? Otherwise I love the bike so far.

An introduction would be great too. :spank: If the forward controls are not comfortable or too far forward,:bang: I would replace them or try to exchange with some one on here that may want the ones you have. Or maybe get you some platform shoes

If all else fails contact thunderheart customer service, they sold me the standard mounting plates because my BD came with the extended controls, I think only about $75. I tried to swap with someone but never had any luck and got tired of dragging my feet for brakes cus I can't touch the controls:eek:

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I been gone for awhile and now I can get back to my bike. What i ended up doing was finding a set of after-market pegs with stirrups. I had to do a little grinding & fabricating but it did end up working. The stirrups helped alot. The main problem I ran into was the air cleaner on the bike is out far enough my legs were spread apart father than any man's should be to hit the brake.
Thanks again!
Now..anyone know where I can get a 12" sissy for a 2002 Mastiff, and not have to drop the back tire to install it?

Good forum and a nice bunch of people here! Appreciate it!
