I have exactly what is being asked about.
1st, the HID light doesn't fit in the adjure lens. You have to grind the hole the bulb go in to have the bulb seat.
2. I think the Adjure black dot lens is shit for quality. and yes, the black dot AND the 3 supporting bars reduce the full illumination you get with the stock lens.
3. The HID light is so frigging bright that it's still a great light in spite of the Adjure problems.
This is all my firsthand experience. I have the setup (if you search, you can find my thread on having to grind the Adjure lens to get the bulb to fit.
Bottom line is that I like the looks of the Adjure lens enough and the HID is soo damn bright, that I went ahead and have used this since I got it. (have had it since Dec or January).
I am 55, damn near blind at night and the fact I did this should tell you its a kick ass accessory (HID). If I had known about the Adjure quality (low), the work I had to do, and the tripod and black dot actually reducing the light, I probably would not have bought the Adjure. But I bought it and will use it till my eyes get even worse.
