Acid Stain Concrete

Anyone ever use the acid Stain they sell at home depot for about $60 a gallon?

I'm looking to Acid Stain my outdoor patio this summer and was just wondering if anyone recommends one brand over another?

I haven't had the chance to look into too much. If actually like to see if I can figure out how to get the Texas star in the patio as soon as you step outta the house.

That was the acid Stain from Home Depot not the water based correct?

Anyone try a water-based stain? Seems less work and don't have to worry about killing my grass.

Also a product called LastiSeal that is supposed to penetrate 2-4" into concrete more color options and it's a one step process. Includes the waterproofing

Tim had a thread on here awhile back showing his acid stained garage floor that look good.

Yea I'll have to ask him... I think he said he spent too much money on it and regretted it. Lol

But I think some of it had to do with selling the house and not enjoying it for long

It's really easy, I did my garage in 1 day. 20'x40' slab

You clean the concrete, then prep it, spray the acid wash 4' x 10' areas then get a broom and work it in. Then go to next 4x10 area then so on & so on. Then let it cure for I believe 3-4 hrs. After the proper time you get a mop & mop bucket and mop the floor constantly cleaning mop bucket water. When your done you go back over 1 more time swirling acid with broom and leave till the next day. Mop 24 hrs later and your done!
