A story about generosity on our forum

So, early this month I went to Bikes, blues and BBQ rally in Arkansas and participated in the ride where I met a bunch of our forum members who coordinated a great ride and even catered a BBQ lunch along the way. Fantastic opportunity to chat live to some good people. Although Mastiffdave did allow us to defray some of the costs, he offered this lunch as his treat if you couldn't donate. This kind of courtesy is not as common as it should be and I was stoked to be a part of this forum even more after the trip.

I then had the chance at the rally to have Speed's performance dyno tune my bike, and discovered the 6-10 Hp loss as a result of my dual spike aircleaner covers, so I decided to remove them which required a bump on the carb jetting from 78 to 82. A few weeks later I decided I preferred the look of the spikes and put them back on, but realized that Speed's did a swap out on the jets and I didn't have my old one. I remembered Phatchopper 300's offer for a 78 jet for $3 and after one quick PM he dumped one in the mail and it was en route, however the guy refused to let me pay him, saying "just helping out a fellow Bigdog Biker". A super cool move to hook me up and even paid the postage.

I am not trying to get all 'rainbows and unicorns' on anyone but these are a couple of examples of how this forum positively influenced me just this month, and serves as an example of the awesome generosity that exists here. I hope I can pay it forward at some point, but want to definitely give props to Mastiffdave and Phatchopper 300 as both fine human beings, and great representatives for this forum. Thank you. :2thumbs:

Couldn't agree more!! Tell them while they are around to hear it, not when it's too late.
