Scott, You see how the one door closes and many more open up theory works. I will miss seeing you at the ralleys. Thanks again for stepping up and helping out with ole crispy. BDM could only hope to replace you with someone half as much of an asset as you are. Take care of your family and I think you made an excellant choice on the field of work. Be safe....

Scott,
Welcome to the great State of Texas! Once you are here you will realize , as many of us here have, that this is not just a different state, but a completely diiferent country! We are the only state in the union that is allowed to fly our flag the same height as "old glory" (not under it like most states), and we still have the right to secede form the nation if we choose to, or because things get too messed up!

I have NEVER heard an unkind word said about you, and that speaks volumes.

Congrats on your new position ,and if you find yourself around Beaumont, let me know...

Thanks everyone ;)

txchopperguy - I'm not actually moving there, tooo many ties here in Kansas but out of the dozen or so companies I have talked to the past week the one's in Texas seem the most stable. As for never having heard an unkind word about me, that's good but it does happen. I am really high strung and there has been a couple of occasions where I have gotten pissed over something that could have just been left alone but I refused to let it go and wound up pissing someone else off.

On another note, I was contacted by a company yesterday about going to work for them in February on a mobile marketing campaign following NASCAR for the year. 3 to 6 months away from home at a time but really REALLY good money. They pay as contract labor and the contract runs from one week before the Daytona 500 till one week after the Homestead race. No guarantee of a new contract for 2010 but.........

I asked for more details on who and such but they hold thier cards pretty tight. They did say that I would be driving, supervising the setup and teardown of the display but not be actually working the display during the events.

I may have to give that one more thought, they gave me till Jan 1st to decide.

Showdog, watch out for that one. there is talk of the big 3 pulling sponsorship for NASCAR. if that happens, the industry may take a big downturn. wouldn't be right for ford, gm, and chrysler to take bailout money and keep sponsoring.

just a thought.
