a really dumb headlight question

does the lens do anything to the beam of light? I ask because I noticed that my lens is rotated about 45 degrees. in other words the writing on the bottom of the headlight is about 45 degrees counterclock wise from bottom dead center. I took the headlight apart and verified that the tab on the headlight is there. I tried every tab slot and none of them get the writing on the headlight to be bottom dead center. is this just an ascetic thing or do I have a problem. it does not look like the ring inside the headlight with the tab slots is movable.

Yep, had the same issue. The outer metal ring moved off center. Pointed the beam in a weird ass angle. Bought a Sunpie and problem solved.

I assume it does not have the tabs on the back so I can position it as needed? did you get the black or chrome version?

Actually it does use the tab setup, sorta. Plugged in and positioned easily. I got the black version. Wasn't sure I would like the look of it, but it grows on ya. Oh and I can see the road @ nite instead of feeling like I'm spotlighting racoons! Lol...

Depends on the bucket that piece may move or may not. Take a close look I had one that moved just can't remember if it was the stock or adjure light

Mine moved after I put in a new bulb, Tightened the ring up and it quit. Later same thing when I put the daymaker in. Tightened up and not moving anymore

I have an 02 Pro Sport and there is a set screw for that last ring but I could not get it to move so I just left it alone. You can still see it in the pic.

I picked a black one, accidentally and really like it. All the rings in my pot turn so longing it up was a breeze. 30$ ! What a steal!

You want the dot to be on top . The lens on these doesn’t do shit, it’s the reflectors inside skit doesn’t matter and still needs proper lining up.
